The commentators did make light of the comment when it was raised during the last quarter but added that it was probably unwise to invoke "cheating" into the comments as it could be taken out of context.
So what? We won the game fair and square.

Plenty of reasons to be pleased about this win. It was a solid team effort but far from perfect.
Well done to Michael Sinclair on 100 games. The commentators made comment that Perth have had very few 100 game players in recent years. Hopefully his shoulder is not too bad.

Well done to Earl Spalding and the players. Great to be at the game and see such a solid crowd.

I had a look at WAFL Footy Facts what a fabulous set of records.
Sinclair has played in 31 wins in 100 games. I read a quote from Earl saying Michael had played in some very unsuccessful teams, so 2019 4/4 100% is massive.

I have to agree. I thought this was another step forward. The stamina they showed to win the first three quarters and even up the last was impressive coming off a 5 day break. Kudos to the conditioning coach there. No nana nap during this game either like the past two weeks. To get to nearly 100 points again, something that we'd previously go seasons without achieving, is a big positive. Goals from the midfield, another big positive. We get out the front of contests a lot now with Byrne and Leggett. That's how good teams play.

They've defeated two playing styles now. The slingslot from half back of SF and SD and the switch of EP which is how C play as well. The boys should go into that game full of confidence.

And special mention to two blokes who have been mighty so far this season but have slipped under the radar a bit in Mitch Lague and Chris Bryan. Both have been fantastic. Mitch bravely sat in the hole all last week against Swans and his decision making and ball use last night was first rate. And Chris Bryan has been a great pick up. A bit of the Bretto Claudius about his zig zagging runs but he takes it on and is a great reader of the play.

What a brilliant atmosphere last night. The ground, the crowd, the lights it was just awesome and hopefully the harbinger of good times ahead.

Beautifully summarised Dazz, can't improve on that except I'd love to be praising someone who clunked 8 marks up front.
And I will eat humble pie on hjs, it actually added a point of difference from other wafl clubs.
Demons in the fast lane baby.

A lot to like about what is happening around the club atm. HJ's is an interesting one. The changes they have made to the old canteen area appear innovative as well as trendsetting.
We saw last night what a great start to the season will do for the club. I can't remember seeing so many old players at the game and it seemed ,as I had suspected, a lot of old supporters have come out of the woodwork already. Membership is really looking up and growing each week.
I cannot remember how long it has been since I saw such a crowd in the main bar and function room after the game. It was great to see. Even the can bar was kept open long after the game.
Exciting times but we do need to keep the momentum going. We are 4 and zip. The next step is to beat the Tigers and Subi and stake a solid claim to finals footy at season's end.

A few players that stood out to me... Clayton Giblett looks better every time I see him play. He gave a few frees away but I like his strength and doesn’t want to give his opponent anything. Also on another night Ninja could have kicked a bag. Got plenty of one on ones against Rudrum, who did a pretty good job on him to be fair but he’s looking fit and hungry. Corey Byrne looked unbelievable with ball in hand and I agree on Chris Bryan. Someone mentioned him and he looks at home. Lathlain looked mint under lights and the big crowd is huge for the club. Let’s hope for a good showing this week. Huge test to see where we really are.

Totally agree that Mitch Lague has been superb, continues to impress more each week. Tremendous courage, reads play really well and as mentioned ball use is first class.

Like others on here I am warming to Mitch Lague very quickly.
I like the work Clayton Giblett does also.
So those 2 have been good pick ups.
I think I am also warming to Chris Bryan just maybe not so quickly.
All in all it has been a great start to 2019.
It's not the size of the dog in the fight. It's the size of the fight in the dog.

The comment regarding cheating was clarified. He was referring to our midfielders not getting back and helping our defenders. He meant they were relying on the defenders to win the ball back and not getting in and helping them out and picking up cheap kicks on the way out of defense.

I thought Clayton Gibbo was one of our best on Thursday night. He got a hand in to spoil or laid tackles or held up opponents numerous times. Belly and Lague were also great (allowing our mids to cheat a little  )
Best on ground had to be Byrna though. We have been screaming for a goal kicking mid for a while and hopefully he can continue to get better.
Special mention to Cary, I had him on my list to be sent back to the ressies and he stood up well on Thursday and earned his spot for another week.
