Yes there is a good look about the group, you would have thought our midfield might have struggled since losing Tropiano and McKenna from last year (though I didn't rate the latter that highly) but I think our midfield is a strength not only due to the addition of Yeo and Giobi but I think guys now in their 2nd or 3rd year are maturing and stepping up. Guys like Browne, Henderson and Scotney are blossoming into genuine league players, recruits from East Perth over the last couple of years Giblet and Lague are big bodied beasts, Taylor returning and finding a gem in Michael Bennell all goes to putting all the pieces of the puzzle together.

I think the key to it all is they are all singing from the same hym sheet and have a clear understanding of what their role is and they work for each other.

I don't wish to rain on our parade right now, but beating West Perth has been mission impossible almost in the last 10 years or so. I can't see that changing this week. The big question is who rucks against Kuenen, Eyres or Giblett.

Now is as good a time as any following your recent form, confidence is up and the playing group can ride off that.

Agreed with Oool, this is your best chance in years. We are coming into game number 4 in 19 days. The boys have been brilliant with their fight in narrowly losing to Peel at their strongest on a slog fest day and v CL right to the death but I noticed we are getting tired, we have to crack at some point you would think.
