I posted this in the WAFL General Chat area but thought I would double up on the Perth link for those who only visit here.

I understand every supporter is passionate and as a general rule sees the game from a one eyed perspective. I have paid particular attention to umpire stats over the past few years and found one indisputable fact - the umpires pay soft free kicks in the last quarter of games to balance up the one sided free kick counts. Although I thought the umpiring was very good Perth V West Perth game, it was very clear they made up the number late in the game. They did the same with the Perth V East Perth game but the umpiring was terrible and caused a lot of player and supporter frustration.. I did not see the Tigers v Demons game today and can only base my judgement on the radio commentators who were very amused at numerous mistakes made by the so called unbiased adjudicators. All funny enough of the comments were to the detriment of the Perth team. The count at one stage of the game was 22 to 3 in favour of the Tigers and the umpires managed to bring that back in the last quarter to 27 to 15.
With this in mind I ask the following 2 questions:
1. Have others noticed this imbalance and equalizing after 3 quarter time and if so in which games?
2. Was the umpiring early in the Tigers v Demons game today bad as the radio commentary and stats made out, or was it just Perth lacking in discipline?

A 4 week suspension to Kasey N. is 3 weeks too many, he is charging back to make a spoil and yes he gets him high. It was clear he would be reported but the penalty in light of what happens in the AFL is ridiculous.

I completely agree we get the even-ups late in the game. Happened Saturday against C.

As for that game, there is absolutely no doubt that the umpires, Worobec particularly, turned on the team in the that second quarter in particular when it turned into a whistle blowing frenzy, all Claremont's way. I don't believe it was the result of undisciplined play. Some of the frees were mindnumbingly absurd. I don't know what provoked it but it was plain for all to see. A comp with any integrity would investigate what happened in that second quarter. Not holding my breath.

You won't have to worry about him this week we've got him again for the second time in three weeks.
Hope he's not a Tigers fan?. I've noticed once he starts, he goes one way for a period of time and then
tries to even it up a bit at the end. He was in the Resies for the first month of the season and he should have
stayed there.

I would add the following variation to the above: when it comes to Swans's games we get a lot of last 15 minutes of the last quarter free kicks in OUR BACKLINE.

In one particularly match against Claremont at Mount Barker our first free kick awarded forward of the centre was 52 metres out 31 minutes into the LAST QUARTER.

Worobec hates Perth. No surprises it was him giving evidence against Nicholas as well.

Worobec sees free kicks nobody else can see, he is quite talented.
his favourites are the interference to forwards in a 50/50 marking contest and over-ruling the controlling umpire to make a decision when he is 40/50 metres from a contest.

He likes to be in control. In other words he likes to attract attention. Most of the time for all the wrong decisions he makes.

Bring back Stuart Parry. He loved the drama of signaling holding the ball and deliberate out of bounds. I miss the banter we had at Claremont Oval one day, he bloody crucified us in the first half but evened it up in the second lol.
