I found these comments from Earl to be cut and paste comments he makes every pre-season

Why dont/or havent we addressed them?
Even when we recruited Graham the club as in league/Ressies was still light on in the ruck dept as was proven when he got injured/left.

How often have our lesser like recruits been described as this(by Earl and other past coachesl)
Mitch Lague is a really good competitor down back, he’s a bit undersized for a key defender but he certainly competes
Another poor bugger that will be asked to compete above his height and weight on a weekly basis.

Also why do our long term injured players(as in 12 month injuries) take 18 months or longer to come back?
Jared Bell did his knee first week of July 2016 and hes still not right for round 1 2018 (and there have been others that take far to long to recover) do they all suffer major setbacks???

As you can gather im nonplussed as to where this club is at and personally i think 2018 will bring the same as previous year....not much joy.

But i guess i still hold out hope that the club isnt pulling our chain with this statement

Mitch Lague did well enough with Hart, Hodgson, Anderson and others around him but he is a bit like Giblett, needs others to support him more than often, if you have that then he will be ok for you.

I believe Ben Power has also returned to the club and is training, which will bolster the big man stocks.

Hey, that is good news d2013. I thought Ben had big potential but he was cruelled by injury. I hope that his knees are ok and he can get himself fit to stay on the park.
His work at hitouts is good and he has a good work ethic around the ground. If he can stay fit then I will feel a little better about our depleted ruck stocks.
He is going on 28 and missed the last two seasons, so we will have to wait and see.

Good to hear that Ben Power is back training with the club. However he is 28 and with a long history of injuries.

There is a good chance sadly that he will break down again. Hopefully I am wrong though.

Gee imo Power was just an ok player at best.
Are we struggling that much out there in the recruiting market place to get any decent Talls.

Apparently we have tried about 10 ruckman 30plus. They were either ex AFL or had played league football in other State Leagues.

Does anyone know if White and Garstone are going to be fit for the first game.
They look like our only realistic options for the key forward positions but both have had serious injuries.

Confirmed on the PFC website today, Mitch Cox and Ben Giobbi have signed 2 year deals.
