Ben Giobbi played for Noble Park in the Eastern Football League in 2016. Google has a picture of him.. he is about 21 and reputably an inside midfielder.. and looks he might have a Tropo toughness about him.
Can't find anything about Mith Cox (presume that is Mitch). Still looking. Perhaps he is a mate of Ben.

Mitch Cox 20yo 183cm 83 kg played for Casey Scorpions. Appears to be a midfielder. Still looking for more info.

We needed a key forward, a mid to replace Trop and one more to improve us and some grunt down back where we got absolutely smashed last year. Oh and a ruckman to work with Eyresy might have been nice.

On the key forward I suppose if we had recruited White and Garstone and brought Cal Collard back and knowing what Ninja can do we would be happy enough. Yes question mark about White and Garstone re injury but no bigger question mark than over plenty of other so called big signings at other Clubs. Throw in a Scotney and BJ who definitely look the goods.

Re mids we were damn unlucky re Tendai (again). Corey Yeo could be the WAFL recruit of the year. Corey Byrne will surely continue to improve as will Hendo, Chester and others. The two kids from Vic, if they do sign, look v promising to be honest. The net says Giobbi an improving type and Cox can play. I'd rather have a couple of promising young ones (and at 20 or 21 they are not kids) than some of the ones at the end of their careers we missed out on who are just milking it.

Down back there are still spots to fill esp with a big question mark over Sinkers playing. A fit and firing Lennon is a big help here if it happens - Gibba not hopeless, Dev Mac a bloody star, Mitch Lague will be pumped.

On the ruck Subi can have Zac Clarke - if there is one player I would have been unhappy to get it would be him. If he does anything please feel welcome to get on here and abuse the crap out of me. Eyresy is like a lot of big men, getting better as he gets older, reckon he'll have a big year.

I'm upbeat.

They have much better pedigrees than Etto and Carey.

Oh and I forgot to mention Matt Taylor...back, wing, wherever.

I'm not convinced yet STT. Will have to wait and see whether or not they sign. I am still looking for more info on them.

Casey Demons are Melbourne's reserves side with AFL players starving some home grown players of opportunities ala WCE and Dockers. It appears Giobbi played 8 senior games last season. Can't find anything on Cox.

Agree shouldn't be even looking at them if they haven't signed (although maybe mention in paper will convince them a good move, I'm sure they've never had anything written about them in the Herald Sun).

But if you are interested some vision of Cox came up on afl website when I searched for him.

The Club wont say it, but I think they were hell bent on getting Wellingham, Tunbridge, and Spencer and when two said no - they had no where else to go. Now its desperation recruiting. I agree these last two from Melbourne really do scream Etto and Carey.

Has anyone gone down to any of the training sessions. I went to one and thought skills very ordinary (early I guess). Joseph Ugle looked a bit more interested than many of his team mates. He seemed very pumped. Can anyone tell me anything about him - is he a candidate for league games this year?
