Definitely a new era has dawned. The Ressies look a very young side with more young players with the opportunity to show what they have and to push for higher honours.
It wont happen overnight but it is a big change after so many seasons when the transition paths were so clogged that too many young players drifted away from the club.

I'm also a half glass full guy when it comes to public talk about the PFC. Hate when supporters dont get behind the club and the team. But the team named is like a long suicide note. You cannot expect these young guys to win this game. It's not just the 5 debutants. It's another 7 or 8 with very little league experience.

Smokey I reckon those measurements were taken a long, long ago. He is a lot taller than that. I'm a big rap for this kid. Gordon Narrier as well. Got great skills.

Yep, very inexperienced team. But there is some really good young talent getting a go. It's going to be a ride into the unknown at Demonland in 2017.

Not concerned by them being named in the Ressies.
McKenna is named on interchange and I can't believe that he will not play.
PD, on one hand you are all doom and gloom about an inexperienced lineup yet on the other you say all supporters should get behind the club.
With respect, you should make up your mind.... support the boys who go out there or walk away all together.

Smokey I take your point. I've taken on all the naysayers on this site under this name and others. I don't want to be in agreement with those guys. I just mean, as read, it's a young team and it's a huge risk. There's a difference between blooding youngsters and only having bloody youngsters. The big bodies that do the off ball stuff are missing. They help youngsters succeed and play well.

Don't mind that side actually looking forward to seeing the young kids showing no fear and having a crack.

Perhaps Dazzler can fill in some info on these debutants.
Tom Gooch named on a wing. Good to see Ninyette as a small forward. I liked his efforts late last season when he first got his opportunity. He knows where the fall of the ball will be and makes sure that he gets there.

Smokey I don't pay much attention to the actual positions that the players are placed in on the WAFL website. They have listed CJ in the middle which is obviously where he will play but others are just placed randomly I reckon. Maybe it's a tactic to keep the opposition guessing.
