Looking at him at the quater time huddle, You would think he had a lot on his mind. Saying that the way he came out in the second half was well vastly different. Who knows maybe the coach got through to him in a way that the coaches critics spew he cant.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Gee there no Kane Ransted fans on this topic pre game or post. Looked liked he got plenty of touches today.

Well done Dees followed the score all day and seemed you were in control from the outset. Please all tell me was there a slight shift in culture today with the young leaders in control. Must say something for the future with O'Sullivan and co getting plenty of it.I'm sure this will build cofidence in the weeks to come and make the experienced players like Changa and Bevan happy to be part of going forward.

It's always good to have a win first up, and a win's a win's a win, no matter who's it against and how much you win by. Couple of concerns or things to think about. I hate that we didn;t score a goal in the last quarter (was there a wind?), and that we didn't put the game completely away after our first quarter. Also, Reimers was our leading goal scorer and he might be rubbed out for Souths. Our ball winners got the ball and that's a good thing. I notice in the Reserves that Irons got plenty of the ball too. As did Cam Manuel. Hopefully these guys will put some pressure on a couple of others. Love that we had few first timers out in the 1's who seem to have done OK: Sinclair and Boyle. Bateman is going to be a beauty.

O sullivan and Hodge were brilliant. Ransted played really well down back and Dene White played surprising well...anyone get a good look at the Reimers incident...looked liked he elbowed the Peel bloke who was hanging on to him?? Whats wrong with Billings..how long is he out for?? Surprsied to see Irons play reserves considering he has an AFL background..how bad was the Matt Moody injury?? Good win by the boys...Go Dees!!!!!!

Yep sounded like a good win. I get the feeling though that teams like Swans, West and a few others have improved on last year not to mention Tigers and East Freo. I think it's going to be a tough year though the positives for us seem to be that we have improved too. Still no genuine key forward again with only McInnes at the moment. Stack needs to really step up and when Tunbridge comes back that will give us another option and Busher of course but pointless planning anything with him. Hopefully by the midway point we are in a position to challenge

Sacko it was a good win but lets put it in perspective,it was against Peel who in the first year of alignment wont be this powerhouse some think they will, they are the reigning wooden spooners, next season when the alignment is in full swing thats when they may be much harder to beat.

On the game it was great to see the recruits all perform,Murray for mine was the standout,Leyendekkers has a bit of a way to go imo.
Risol showed that he is more than capable as the key CHB,probably the best we have seen there for quite a while.Sketcher did some good thing and can only get better.
Reimers was good and in bursts showed what flashy things he can do,proved yesterday that forward is his postion, will only get better as the weeks progress.
Locally,Matthew Boyle looks to have a bright future, very good game on debut.
Ali Smith was outstanding.

I also think a key forward was lacking yesterday and hopefully the club can sort something out because whilst we may have got away with it yesterday against one of the weaker teams in the comp i cant see Bevan at CHF against the likes of Claremont and Swans being a dominant move.

All in all a positive start to the season and we are in a real good position going 2 up because South at home should be another 4 points,Souths are certainly not top 4 material.
Also by this round hopefully Butler and Ash Smith will be available to replace a couple of players...and we all know who they are!

Talk yesterday of Busher pushing for a return around round 5-6.

Good to some positives yesterday.

Look forward to SF and hopefully a good start to the season.
