30plus from what some are saying on here we will struggle to win a game , all im saying is i reckon the list doesnt look that bad and with a bit of luck could go ok . I also dont think some of the other clubs have been that active in there recruiting and have also lost some players so all im saying is that the comp this year will be pretty even imo - 1 or 2 no doubt will stand out but after that i think it could be a raffle .

Paul, up until the recent announcements we would have struggled to win a game. With some genuine ruckmen and a couple of key position players added our prospects look much better. Whether that just puts us back to where we were last year talent wise or not is debatable. I would say we are still down on talent compared to last year but we might have a more balanced side. Time will tell and it comes down to the coach and his staff if he knows how to get the best out of the cattle he has at his disposal.

Last year he didn't, this year he has better assistants.

not too sure if one could say Broadbridge is any better than what Perth have had over the years, simply ask many WCE or Freo fan about Broadbridge credentials and you will get an earful....if the fella was any good why is he back in the WAFL and not still in the AFL?

Williams was a good junior coach at Peel...bit different from coaching seniors?...wasn't McMahon a good junior coach?.....not too sure two good junior coaches equal one good senior coach....time will tell.....lots of pie in the sky I reckon....Murray has done nothing since being drafted by Brisbane, how many years ago was that?....plus Leyendekkers showed promise at Peel and had help from Lycett...you can't tell me Murray is better than Lycett?.....Leyendekkers and Spannders sounds better than Leyendekkers and Murray....though Murray and Spannders seem to have a similiar connection....2 previous WAFL clubs and ex Brisbane failed draftees

Freezin the times I have heard Broadbridge speak I think he speaks well and players listen. My only reservation with him is I think he might be one of the driving forces behind some of the game day tactics he has inherited from his time at AFL clubs such as rotation policies. But at the end of the day the buck stops with the senior coach, if he can't accept that then he should step down.

Trevor Williams seems to have a loyal following with players, a few former Peel players returned to Peel when Williams took over and it is no coincidence a few Peel players have found their way to Lathlain because he is there.

Adam Pickering has a great rapport with the players from what i have seen and has a bit of mongrel about him so I think all in all there is a good spread of assistants for players to draw from. There is one bloke who is the odd one out, I will leave you to work that one out, not too hard!

I wonder who that might be DD.

I know quite a few Perth fans who butter up as Freo fans Paul.....also I know a few who butter up as WCE fans too.....

mate if you think Broady is the goods, then what ever floats your boat...but the fella has been around the AFL traps for a few years as an assistant coach....only young and now finds himself assistant coach to a fella who coached in the country ranks, PFC u/19s, with a piss poor senior record, coaching a team in a 35 yr drought....mmmmm says it all I guess.....shouldn't Broady be the senior coach and Macca his assistant???

Paul, have bet for me when you are next at the TAB...I hear Freo's odds are pretty attractive this year.....taking the kids to the footy again this year to watch Freo?...perhaps Broadbridge may be able to score you some better seats...I believe he has connections down Freo way?
