Perth have to relocate South East and set up .In the heart of there new zones .Where the bulk of there future players will come from .
West Perth  move up the North Coast.Got them stuck in a terrible stadium deal. But on field it was an amazing decision. There a power Wafl footy club.
That's exactly what I said recently and said in the past. It would force the hands of the WAFC to reallocate zones accordingly. Bang in the middle of Canning Vale or Southern River

With the new Thornlie to Cockburn line nearing completion it would be ideal to set up a new home ground within walking distance of a train station or a short bus ride to the train.
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

Someone should tell the WAFC that in regards to SD as well then DD as they continue to handover more and more of our zone in our own backyard to other clubs!
But yes Perth probably should have moved out to the Canning Vale region in the early 90s when that was all being newly redeveloped around the same time WP went to Joondalup.

I think your on the money DD, being near good access roads and a train line will make it so much more attractive for punters to go to the venue. Are there any existing sporting complexes in that area that could be upgraded to WAFL standard without spending too much.? A well thought out venue with 3-5k capacity is all thats needed these days.

Not sure what a 600K new ground would look like though. Who was running the PFC show back in the late 90's?

BH,,DD,,SS -Co hosting with WCE was never going to work in Perth favour.
Pretty sure Perths relocation would be seen as a future investment in the game, like Peel+West Perth in the 90's.
As far as the cost of the new ground and facilitys go.Pretty sure the local government will be keen to have a Wafl club+WAFC+State+Federal Governments.Maby even some AFL funding.Cant see the cost of relocating SE being a huge barrier for Perth.

Relocating to Southern River area is a terrible idea.  One of our biggest issues has been the lack of talent coming out of those areas, so why on earth would we cement ourselves in that area.   Lathlain, is finally about to become a very rich and affluent area similar to the likes of Claremont and Subiaco.  Additionally, the latest trend is for inner city living. Look at the amount of apartments that have been built in the city in the last 15 years and there are plans to double that amount in the next 15 years.

We should be pushing for growth areas, like Byford , Mundijong and Whitby to be added to our recruit zones. And pushing a lot harder for some of Subi and Claremont Country zones. Albany to start with.

IMO we should move back to the WACA. Zero $$ spend or stay exactly where we are.  Yes I know some of you remember the 90s when it almost bankrupted the club. But its different times for the WACA now and they need a host club just as much as we need a home ground.

The City of Gosnells 'Sportsplan' released last year calls for the construction of 5 new ovals within the City. Maybe it's time to talk to them?

A massive redevelopment (potentially hundreds of millions) at Sutherland Park is proposed (amongst many other things). Although not near a train line, the likelhood of Federal and State money being involved could be a start.

Gosnells would make more sense. It would be more central to both existing and newer city zones.

Gosnells would make more sense than Southern River purely because of the train line. Good luck moving GFC out of their.   We are Called the Perth Football Club - not the Gosnells or Southern River football club. This proposed plan will not help with future generations.  We should be planted at the WACA and have a world class AFL capable and FINALS quality ground (with PFC history) not a makeshift oval in a poor demographic area.
