Although Herbert proved to be a key player, Chester was a bit unlucky not to have been a dual premiership player.

That’s a damn shame. Condolences to his family, friends and former team mates. I remember the number 19 fondly and was a favourite as I played football with a younger cousin of his who was a bloody star in the East Perth junior district with Bedford. Don’t know why he didn’t go on to play league footy, was Ken Hunter like and that is no exaggeration. R.I.P Chester.
