Really sad news to hear about the passing of 93 premiership player and inaugural Docker Quentin Leach from cancer. With Dale Kickett and Danny Southern he formed a superb half back line in 93. Persistent groin injuries stopped him from reaching his full potential for Fremantle, with modern day training methods he would have played 150 games, easy.
Farewell Leachey, taken way too early.

Very sad to hear about Quentin this afternoon on the radio.Just another chapter in this horrible 2020 year.
As a footballer he took his opportunity at AFL level and had a real crack.Sadly as TOO said injury got on top of him.
All the best to the family and friends and colleges of Quentin.RIP.

Remember Leach as that surfer looking blonde half back who loved to run and bounce from defence along with his fellow lot down back Panizza, Kickett, McGovern, Hendry, Southern & co.
Really made an impression in the WAFL in the early 90s pre Freo ripping the heart out of it in 1995.

He was the last of an era really in that he was considered probably the best footballer in the country outside the Afl in 1994, at the age of 21/22. Hence him being one of the inaugural Dockers. Nowadays if you're not drafted by the age of 20 you're ready for the nursing home
