You are quite correct Roman and more of an optimist than I.

I would like to just see a huge change in attitude and intensity across the whole team our last few games have been very ordinary and I keep harping on it. People keep saying that this group of players are hungry and craving for finals action, I would like to see on field action from the team to support this.

Slow start but a great 2nd quarter fightback - conceded that bloody last minute goal again though , shits me to tears those ones against the momentum

No Hams , Luffy in & not going too bad as the replacement

That game was a good spectacle and of a high standard. I must admit I was a bit doubtful about whether it would be a success given the wintery conditions but both clubs turned on some excellent footy. From South's point of view they would rue their poor start (once again) and some sloppy turnovers in the 3rd quarter when they were on top of the Lions. Otherwise they can take a lot out of that game. Doggies were missing a few of their key midfielders ( as were Subi of course) but I was particularly impressed with Steven Verrier and Hockey as well as Ryan Cook who was serviceable in his 200th game.
I reckon the Thursday night slot has some potential for WAFL although I still think it would be more marketable in the warmer months of March, April and even early May.

I counted exactly 2 in the outer! And they are the clowns that sit under the light tower. Got me buggered how tonite was good for WAFL footy. Got to wonder the motives from $ubi

I'd say 800 if that
Why would anyone bother on a wet cold night when it's on TV and with a 7pm start most have to get up for work the next day, stupid fixture by ch7

What is with the slow starts? 5 goals too 1 in the first quarter...

In saying that we had our opportunities in the second half in particular the 3rd Quarter to put the lions to the sword but were not able to finish off our dominance and translate it into goals on the scoreboard. The last quarter was another disappointing quarter of footy with our 1 and only goal coming on the siren by Pickett M. WTF!!

Inside 50s Sub 44 SF 42 not much difference, Subiaco were just a little more efficient in their forward 50 entries. Ryan is an excitement machine, baffling that M Pickett was not assigned the task of playing on this kid all night? FFS Maskos , Guggs , Luff and Gundry are out of their league when you are talking about shutting down an important cog in the structure of an oppositions fwd line?? He kicked 3 goals and would have assisted with a few others , restrict his impact and it goes along way to helpng the team win the game.

Non contributors Kelly (Mid) , Stewart(Fwd) , Donaldson(fwd) , Gundry(Def), Strom(fwd-mid) , Shaw(fwd) , Gugglieamana(def) , Luff(def) and Maskos(def) ...IMO that is nine players who had little impact on the game. I know enough about footy and you cannot win games with that many players not making contributions. Hint to the coaching staff get your players making more consistent contributions and if they cannot turn them over and find others who are going to do it.....
We should have a few players back next week (Hams, Schloithe , Johnson , Edwards and possibly English?) However the major concern for me is our inability to finish side off we seem to have lost our mojo from earlier in the year. I am not certain we can regain it?

I'd rather wait until we have our strongest possible side (understanding we won't see Dells , Parry & Macca again this year) before completely writing it off mate
Still second probably need 2 more wins to sew up a September spot then it becomes wide open to who wants it
