Impressed with the way WP do Pom Day, this is an idea SFFC should take up, give a 2 for one tickets away at all the schools in the EFFC and SFFC zones, we could get a heap through the gates Foundation Day.

Great idea bazz, clubs need to be proactive and offer these incentives, you'll always get your base 3-4000 paying punters turning up but if you can offer some freebies and get the crowd up around 6- 7000 like they do at Joondy then its a good look, and a repeat of the weekends derby should get a few back interested in a regular WAFL gig.

yep, good points, I reckon we get a base of around 5000-6000 to FD Derby regardless, add to that maybe 4000 extra roll ups on the day, probably more if we hit both clubs school zones we could get 10K.

As you say last derby was a ripper.

Good idea we need to get the kids involved in the WAFL somehow as most kids don't seem to have much of an idea about it!

How about sending players out to the schools to give out tickets, this would put a personal touch on it?. I realise that this could be hard logistically as most players have day jobs.

Both Foundation Day Derby crowds will thin out a little this year I believe because SD are playing Perth on the Monday as well and I know I usually attend the Perth Derby with a mate but not this year of course, I suspect there will be a lot of SD and Perth fans that would have gone to either Derby but now cant even if both our teams are holding the ladder up from the bottom

SD better to be at the Swans' Perth game anyway. One of us will have a win unless it is a draw of course.

Yeah , it should be an absolute thriller, all those years of tradition and rivalry and two exciting teams at the moment...yawn.

The SD v P game will have absolutely NO impact on the crowd at the derby whatsoever given it as zero relevance to 99.9% of people that go anyway, and the woeful attendances both teams have pulled this year,not to mention its essentially a battle for the spoon...lol
