it'll be 100 games for Noah Strom - hopefully many more

a vastly different jumper design for this year's NAIDOC round - our V replaced with a horizontal yoke

as a South Fremantle Football Club tribute - the Town Hall end of the ground will be named the Basil "best to get the fark out of his way" Campbell End , the Hospital end  of the ground will be named the Benny "the Wizard" Vigona end.

Statements:
South Fremantle will be unveiling their new signage ahead of NAIDOC Round with Indigenous legends Benny Vigona and Basil Campbell getting honoured.Fremantle Community Bank Oval will have different signage this weekend, with South Fremantle honouring two of their former favourites.
To celebrate their NAIDOC Round clash with Claremont on Saturday, the Bulldogs have renamed their home ground’s end for this week’s game in tribute to Benny Vigona and Basil Campbell.
The end North of the Oval has been renamed the Campbell End, while the Hospital (South) end will be dubbed the Vigona End.

Vigona spent nine years at the Bulldogs and kicked 220 goals in 165 games and was a four-time State representative while Campbell kicked 122 goals in 102 games for the Bulldogs and represented WA in 1977.The pair both hail from the Northern Territory, are both hall of fame members and life members and were also part of South Fremantle’s 1980 premiership victory.
Vigona admitted the honour had taken him by surprise and over his playing years he came to understand how important the club was to the local community.“We just came here to play footy and to get this is an honour, but we came here to get the ball and see what happened,” he said.
“It took me a few years to understand it was important for the local mob and I started thinking about giving back to the club.“I thought we were only coming down for the function going on. This was out of the blue.”

Campbell said it was an honour to be recognised, but did admit he preferred the other end during his playing days, as that was where he kicked most of his goals.
“It’s a great feeling to be recognised. We were only young men back then, but the comradeship and training and all that was good,” he said.“It was a very family oriented club.
All the boys from down here, Aboriginal boys, we all got on well together.”

For what it's worth - Benny Vigona , Maurice Rioli & Stephen Michael are in the top 5 footballers I've seen

Yes a fantastic tribute to Vigona & Campbell.
Great to hear this match being covered by the SportFM commentary team, whilst listening through the computer. Good to see the weather a bit better than expected. Looking forward to settling in for the arvo and listening to the game through the internet wire.

as frustrating it is yet again - have to say we had several gilt edged chances to put a premiership fancy to sleep during the game
but it's the bloody poor skills at crux moments or not getting that body there when it's needed that's just giving it away
I can't fault the endeavour today but shabbiness costs you dearly
Claremont will have more to worry about than what we've got though - they got a get out of jail card didn't see a premier here

congrats to Noah Strom on 100
to all the legends here pity we let it go at the vinegar stroke

just too many weak links mate and the weak links killed us off
yes the umpiring was baffling but that wasn't the reason we ended up losing
Rarely name players but I'll give you 2 who are classic examples of the cancer
Manfred Kelly & George Wessels - one is a supposed forward who is never forward no guesses as to why there is presence up forward or any crumbers , the other is a list clogger that does not put body on the line and just gives the ball away
there are football smarts but then there are also football retards
