we've lost a considerable amount of experience & games - this time isn't quite as extensive as the almost total rebuilds we've had to do (after 2009 and then around when Todd Curley arrived) 
a fair chunk of the core is intact 

beaten by a much better side , there could not have been a better lesson handed out to the young and the more experienced lots of them were down today Better second half sort of
two late outs didn't affect the result Claremont played like a side that's been together mostly for 3 or 4 years

Result didnt surprise me, this is a reality check after playing the duds last week and much more an indication of where we are now at.

Losses from last year glaringly obvious, big holes in the midfield and up forward, game pretty much played inside Claremont's 50, coach spent most of his day trying to plug holes, very lucky the margin was not bigger with Claremont letting us off the hook accuracy wise.

Flogged in all three grades.

Going to be a struggle against most sides this year. Still minus 4 - Bottom 3 looms

could not have asked for a better lesson to be honest - we have lost quality , and in numbers so I think we know how hard that is to replicate immediately.

26 Scoring shots to 8, 56 inside 50s to our 31.

Z Strom worked hard trying to hold the line, Kelly, Toby Mc and Blech had a bit of a go , not much to say after that, hardly any tackles laid all day. Not looking forward to Peel and God help us v WP, Perth could be a challenge.

 

yeah mate It's looking as though everything will be a challenge mate - pretty clear after the first two I think , Saturday was awful to watch and our disposals were as bad as I can remember
Hopefully we get some mids back that'll help

That right, actually it was a low key turn out @ Claremont from SF, good to see a few hang in there at the pub after the game, good effort by pub as well decking place out in local club colours dont see that much anymore.
