Seems to be cooling in last hour or two, Iran saying ok we hit you please don't hit us back, ( a bit of token payback to keep the locals happy ) , sounds like no casualties at this stage.

Another odd development is the crash of a Ukraine Plane in Iran hour or two ago, might be more to that.

Yes always been interested in going there, although the dry policy could be hard to take.

It was only about 10 years ago Baz that I started planning a trip with the missus to Lebanon, Syria, Iran finishing up in Israel...FMD I wouldn't go to any of them these days although Israel still appeals.

Watching closely at mo.

Leb. Syria and Iran off the table at mo, although I think Leb might be OK.

Jordan still OK I think.

Turkey is a great country to visit. Armenia is a place that interests me but I think has a closed border with Turkey.

Nice one - I will keep you updated on how Subi are going while you are away. No doubt they will have a few danger games around that time.

Perhaps Iranian history remembers back to 1953, when the CIA orchestrated a coup to oust the popularly elected, democratic government, and install the hated puppet dictator, the Shah. Oil was the name of the game then.

Shades of Oz in 1975. ;)

The comment that this is primarily Trump trying to divert attention from his impeachment debacle is spot on, but the US of A loves a good war especially in someone elses back yard, it's great for business. The military industrial complex is always looking for opportunities to flog their killing machines and make billions in the process, only thing is, this time it's Iran and they appear to be armed to the teeth and would be no surprise if they have well developed newks plus being fundamentalist moosies, they dont have what the west (USA) have ..... any fear of death.

Interesting and troubled times ahead, hopefully our government see's it for what it is and stays out of it. They have enough on their hands trying to fund drought relief and now the massive cost of the fires, would go over like a lead balloon if they decide to stump up millions to send assets to Iran if the Seppo's ask/demand.
