People from other countries must think we are nuts, we give our politicians, now Prime Minister and new leader of the opposition these nicknames but that's the Aussie way. Abbott was the mad monk, what pet name did we give for Turnbull? I used to call him fluffy Malcom because I didn't know what he stood for. Ohh that's right "Growth and Innovation". Anyway, I reckon in Albo (Anthony Albanese) they have a bloke who people can relate to with a hint of personality, something Bill Shorten was devoid of. Might give ScoMo a run for his money in 2022 if he lasts that long.

Labor have to prove there a better alternative government. Something they couldn't do 9 days ago. They need to work out what they stand for and who they represent. Latte sipping innercity professionals v the Greens. No industry policy v Lnp for blue collar votes.Crazy given how many people work in coal on the east coast.
Notice the government announced an Industrial Relations Minister.First time since 2007+Workchoices.Are they going to kick the Unions why there down with an easier passage through the Senate.I'm pretty sure if the government just gets on with business and keeps it nose clean. It will be difficult for Labor in the next 3 years.Unless some global events affect Australia.
It was Queensland who decided this last election.2PP 58 v 42..Wonder if Albo can win his home state back.

Albo is the best of a bad lot and he's an entrenched member of the party's left so that's not a change from Shortarse but he's far more personable. Could be worse could be Plibasek !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
