Sad to lose John Rogers this morning. Grew up hearing his voice over various footy media and represents another link with the halcyon days now gone. But not forgotten!

Sad news mate will always remember him doing the commentary in our 80s hat trick which wouldnt have been easy for him in 82/83 being an old Tiger himself!

Fond memories of Buck,Frank Sparrow,JKW,Jeorge G.Another piece of WA history disapears.RIP.Never forget thoes 80's State of Oragin calls.

Probably one of my favourite Ch 7 commentators, and personalities, was there when WAFL was king and was front and centre as one of its lead men for many a years, a great voice and Mr Slick on the TV.

Called the mighty 1980 WAFL GF for TVW 7 alongside Harvey "Everywhere" Degan. and the call is as good today as then.

So many from that era are now passing quickly now.

Thoughts are with his family - it was a great era with some iconic match commentators , John joined those ranks pretty easily

Spot on mate. hard to believe its nearly all gone, it still seems like you can reach out and touch it, but I guess its a mirage.
