Terry Redman has resigned and Brendan Grylls is back and wants Barnett out. The question I ask is why did he resign in the first place?

In any case dumping Barnett will only be window dressing. No doubt his arrogance and ignorance is what has driven this state into a huge pit of debt but it's more than that. He doesn't listen to the people he just thinks he knows best. But the alternatives within the Liberal Party aren't much chop. Dean Nalder I hate with a passion. He's got a face I'd like to punch.

Grylls is a moron, he has killed Pilbara real estate prices and locals are coming with pitchforks after him , the only reason he has rushed back to the leadership is to lift his profile and ensure he saves his Pilbara seat, he had a massive swing to him last time and chances are it will go against him next time, its traditional labor up there anyway.

Either way the Coalition will be getting the boot next time, Mcclown just needs to keep breathing.

Dean Nalder could explain his transport problem and promise a rail link by April 1st, 2017.

Grylls stepped down as the Nats leader for family reasons as he had a young family and wanted to put them first ... well that's what was reported. Grylls is a very savvy pollie and will raise the profile of the Nats like he did last time giving them the balance of power. Will that be good thing if it continues? ................. We've seen what damage minor parties can do at the national level.

Baz, not sure you can blame Grylls for the crash in Pilbara real estate prices, would have thought it might have something to do with the end of the mining industries construction phase and the exodus of construction workers from that zone and the massive slowdown for local businesses and lack of demand for rental properties. Lots of people up there went on a property buying frenzy during the boom when you could get $2 to $3 grand a week for a rentals, now they are whinging because their properties are worth less than their mortgages. That happens when you get greedy and buy at the top of the market and naively expect it to stay like that. What Grylls did by ensuring the Nats had the balance of power was the massive injection of taxpayers money into the regions including massive investment into the Pilbara.

Mr Grylls will bring some fresh ideas to a very tied state government.Who is struggling to get WA"s economy off the canvass.
History is not with MR Grylls however.Picking a blue with Rio+Bhp just ask Kevin Rudd will only result in won winner and it wont be the WA State Government.Having said that really do like what Brendon wants to do with that extra tax revenue.
On the Pilbra construction industry and the massive rental drops. Was up there for a while in 2014 and the wrighting was on the board back then with South Hedland already on the way to becoming a ghost town. Also remember a lot of the mining service industries are in huge decline despite the record amount of ore coming out of the quarry. As this State Government has no polocy on local content.

Grylls is an idiot...but even worse than that..he's a dangerous idiot who has no idea about the potential consequences of his hair-brained schemes. the $5 per tonne bounty regardless of the price is populist nonsense with no economic merit whatsoever.
