Unka2 how on earth can you make such an assertion? It is patently nonsensical. Have a look at the 2011 Census and it will show you how wrong you are.

The French have had a demographic deficit since the Napoleon Wars, it hurt them badly in the struggle against the Germans and will be critical in the future of the country. Besides the 30 per cent birth rate (from only a 10 per cent population base), you need to factor in that they are planning to take many thousands of immigrants from the Middle East; an immigration in-take, which, naturally, will add to the Arabisation of the country in the coming decades.

You will be able to notice the trend once the baby boomers die off as this is the last generation where the French element of the population is in a clear majority.

Good comment Baz.Just imagine the newley formed AMP holding the balance of power in the senate, not now but say 2030 onwards.Like the Greens are now.On that the AMP will hurt both ALP and the Greens in the Senate imo.

You were referring to this country, i.e. Australia. See below the salient points re breakdown of religious profile in Australia from the 2011 Census conducted by the Australian Bureau of Statistics.

2011 Census of Population and Housing data released today by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) shows more Australians than ever are identifying as having no religious affiliation.

Christianity remained the most commonly reported religion in Australia with 61.1 per cent of the population reporting affiliation with a Christian religion – a decline from 63.9 per cent in 2006.

There was an increase in the number of people not reporting a Christian faith from 36.1 per cent of the population in 2006 to 38.9 per cent in 2011.

The number of people reporting 'No religion' increased significantly, from 18.7 per cent of the population in 2006 to 22.3 per cent in 2011.

The most common non-Christian religions in 2011 were Buddhism (accounting for 2.5 per cent of the population), Islam (2.2 per cent) and Hinduism (1.3 per cent). Of these, Hinduism had experienced the fastest growth since 2006, increasing from 148,130 to 275,534, followed by Islam from 340,394 to 476,291 and Buddhism from 418,749 to 528,977.

Assuming the figure above is correct that would mean that 70% of all births in France are not Muslim.

I think our head in the clouds mate swan42 is one of the people who are part of the problem. Swan, do you see the trend from 30 yrs ago to today? Probably not - you and your mate Young Sarah Handbrake are going to cause this country irrevocable trouble.
Silly old farts like you (and me) won't be around when the shit hits the fan big time, but that's no reason to turn a blind eye. What's your opinion of Enoch Powell? Was he wrong?
