Interesting that the players association was barred from having a seat at the table for negotiations, lets face it what have the players got to do with the AFL

To remain at nine matches a week with four of them being irrelevant. I'm disappointed the networks didn't tell the extended vfl to make the comp a truly national comp with 14 teams playing the other 13 twice for a 26 round comp.

NSW will never except the game with the two stupid vfl ideas of calling the comp the VFL/AFL and having 9 teams in Melbourne.

If NSW don't except game it will never be national - Soccer to win.

Sort of agree, there appears to be no progress on the reduction of teams based in Victoria, time will tell on the soccer growth but current indicators are pointing in the direction your talking.

Thought Channel 7 was to do LIVE only on the east so saturday games at 2.10pm will go elsewhere as C7 want them to roll onto the news. C7 sunday games will start at 3.20pm.

Went and had a dig looking as to where the coin is going to be spent - got my answer pretty clearly in the last part of that fleabag McLachlan's speech:

"The players' deal has been done in a discreet way separate from the rest (in the past) but we're doing a review at the moment of community football, (which) nationally, and particularly in Victoria, needs a greater investment"

Says it all if anyone didn't see it coming - the majority of the slops will go to Vicco

Southerner, as you say, any scraps will not be coming WAFL way.

BTW if you think Ch 7 is a bully now, wait till they flex their clout worth 2.5 Billion, when they say its an EXCLUSIVE deal they mean exlcusive, expect more hammering of WPFC and Ch 9.
