Pauline Hanson's only flaw was that she was an unarticulated twat. But pound for pound she was on the money with the warnings of assimilation and the likes. A hornets nest waiting to explode. Its been a sore point with mainstream Australia and never given its rightful serious consideration. Because we have a media and government attitude of what rates better, and what is deemed protocol with other countries.

This is just the beginning. Todays events are nothing. The reality is we are at this stage because of incompetence at Australia's highest level, and the refusal to take a stand and show some clout. None of us thank them for it.

This is Australia...this should not happen in a country like ours, now we're like the rest of the world - open to this type of crap. I don't care if I hurt the bleeding hearts of the world, but the best way the police can watch this cretin is through crosshairs. They'll take him in, then the tax payers will foot the bill for his incarceration. How do you reckon he would go if he pulled this in Singapore, Russia, China??? But then we're such a caring nation - God I hope they don't hurt any of the hostages, it must be terrifying for them.

I agree 100% mate, like you I think today's events are pretty mild compared to what we will confront in the future! fact is we have been sold down the river, we have hostile alien ghettos in our own country. As well as that The Chinese are flooding in like there's no tommorow and buying the place up, and pushing out locals, go to a lot of schools now, you won't see a white face.

That's one thing I can't accept, foreign companies and non-Australians buying up agricultural land and houses/apartments. Most countries don't allow this. We are way too tolerant, and others are taking advantage, it's not being racist, it's reallity. It really annoys me. I lived in Japan for two years, you want to see racism, try being the only white guy in a city of 29,000. Had to get my boss to take me to the barber, as no one would cut my hair.
If they want to join the conflict in the middle east let them. Cancel their passports whilst they're in mid-flight, then tell the country they are going to and let them deal with it. They don't like us or our way of life, so see ya.

I know we must know what's going on, but too much publicity...that's what these bastards want. I'm far from a religious person, but I hope God protects the poor people that are being held.

Yes, do agree with that. Am feeling angry about it myself. If the gunman has issues, this is not the way to go about it. Have just seen the latest update and the siege looks like continuing.

Not long ago, 5 to 10 of the hostages came out of the café and were led away by police. Maybe 10 minutes later, the position escalated very quickly. Police stormed the building with either weapons fire or stun-guns. Some of the remaining hostages have been taken to hospital. Only hope there are no hostages died when the building was stormed.
