Doolan has scored a bucket load of runs for Tas this year....plus a big score v SA last weekend and the selectors pick Quiney....Henriques has been in form with bat and ball all year too, why don't the selectors pick guys on current form who are currently in form. I feel sorry for Quiney, he is 30 years old averages 37 in first class cricket.....another player to have a one test career I guess. Hopefully Australia's bowlers step up, because I can see Australia struggling to get past 200 v SA attack....especially on a juicy GABBA pitch.

Australia needs to win the toss to have any chance of winning this test match...

Yep spot on mate.. Watson must come back for Perth and Ponting out. Watson is in our top 6 batsman and can get the runs bowling or not. Ok got plenty today but lucky. 2 or 3 lower order batsman did the job. We could get back up the world standings if we had some openers who could get the runs as well.

gee a half fit Watson could of scored more runs than a fully fit Quiney in this match.....the guy has just been handed a test career of 2 matches and an average of 3....bit rough on the fella being dumped in the coveted number 3 against the best bowling attack in the world....talk about a sacrificial lamb!!!.....

Have to agree Quiny must be on thin ground for the Perth test along side of Ponting. There are a couple around who deserve a spot over these two.
But as per usual the selectors will stick with them most probably.
So if we draw this one and win in Perth Aust will go to no 1 in the Test ladder.
Maybe they should just delete Australia on the ladder and put in Clarke because if it wasnt for his efforts we wouldnt be there.
Its got to be a team effort not just a two man band

Quiney is so out of his depth as a batsman at Test level it is not funny ..how he was chosen ahead of Khawaja is bewildering!

I know Doolan bats up the order. I think you'll find he walks out to the crease at number three.
