Sad to hear that former SA footy great Mark Naley passed away overnight.
He was a SA state regular in the 1980s and won a Margarey Medal playing for South Adelaide in 1991 and was a star when the SANFL like the WAFL was every bit as good as the VFL plus went on to play at Carlton and was a Premiership player there in 1987 as well.
Also won the Tassie Medal in 1987 in the old State Of Origin series (WA, SA, VIC, TAS etc), All Australian in 1986 & 87 and the Fos Williams Medal as best player for SA vs WA and was a SA Football Hall Of Fame member.
Was only in his late 50s as well.

yeah bit of a shock to hear that mate - remember Naley having a running style that resembled an Olympic Walker at full tilt
