Yep, and this virus opens up another opportunity for scum bags to try and take advantage of people.

Phone numbers can be easily spoofed - so the call could have been from anywhere.

If you think these phone scams are bad, you haven't seen anything yet!
Our own federal government apparently has signed off on one of the biggest scams ever.
What saddens me to no end is no-one can see it.

I keep getting calls from an unknown number - don’t answer of course. When I contacted Telstra how to block it, they said it can’t be done. They also said that a lot of scammers from overseas somehow get a number that looks Australian so that when they ring you, it looks local. Fkn pricks.

I got done once by that auto subscribing scam where you get “auto subscribed” to a fucken ringtone club or something. Telstra was complicit in it by allowing them to use the Telstra bill to charge for it and didn’t give a flying fuck about it saying it was a “third party”. In the end it was easier for me to pay the ten or eleven bucks than fight it.
So I hope that Perth bloke held in a US jail awaiting trial cops a hundred years (can’t remember his name but he was shacked up with that Lydia Tsvenko crumpet you see in Perth’s social pages)
