Make no mistake,tonight is a virtual quarter final for England. If they beat India , they will get their mojo back and more than likely confirm their place in the semis by beating NZ. Lose and they will be relying on other results and they will be rubbished by all the UK press in the way only those August tabloids can do. Whoever wins the toss should bat and England will be hoping for runs on the board to steady their nerves. They need one of their top 5 to make a big ton.

they have not had their best side, and to be honest, morgan, has made it harder by making them chase totals; if they had of had roy and hales they would have qualified already. I like to see the NZ bat without Williamson and Taylor.

As for Warner and Smith, when are they picking Bancroft?
When, and if, that happens, I might have a bit of sympathy for the others. Bancroft has a comparable average to Warner in 'list A' cricket, look it up lads. He also has an average which is nearly ten runs better than Maxwell.
They should think themselves lucky after 'bodyline' Jardine and poor Larwood never played again.

I know the WI didn't win a lot at the WC and only ODI, but great to see some potential there....Hope, Hentmyer,Pooran, Thomas and Collins will provide the WI with a core group of players working to put some overdue success into WI cricket.....Holder is only young too and that series win over Eng in the WI is a good sign for test cricket....

Good win by SriLanka last night.I had expectations of big things from the Windies in the 2019 CwC.They have had another CwC big flop.No front line spinner hasn't helped.
