I think you underestimate the value that some of the Kiwis add Freezin, sure Williamson and Bolt are the stand outs but Lockie Ferguson is in the top 5 wicket takers in the tournament, De Grandhomme, Henry , Sautner and Neesham have all contributed at some stage. None of them are world beaters but they are going OK.
Sri Lankas victory was just what the competition needed, at least kept alive their slim hopes and those of a few other teams as well.

A couple of potential upsets on course tonight.

India managed only 8/224 - Afghanistan yet to bat.

NZ 2/30 off 10 against the Windies (who must be due).

I'm at flat as a tack this morning. After witnessing another sub-par Swan Districts performance yesterday. There was 48 balls left and the Afgans needed 48 to win with 5 wickets in hand.I was convinced I was watching history as the Afgans, would win. Some bad shot selection and some excellent bowling by India.Saved the match. With some horribly bias commentary by the Indian commentators.

Amazing innings by Brathwaite. The Adrenelin was probably too much for him because they only needed 6 from 7 balls and if he had pushed for a single off the last ball of the 49th, he would have likely got the runs in the 50th. Easy to be wise after the event though because the "death or glory" tactics had worked brilliantly up to that last ball.

Also Aust U/20 Rugby Union team lost to France in the U/20 WC final 24/23....not Aust or SD or EF sporting week mate...the latter 2 more of a travesty than the former...LOL

Looks like Matty Wade is smashing down the door for an Ashes berth....back to back 100s for the Aus A side at a strike rate around 150+....perhaps Sean Marsh can feign and injury and Wade could take his place for the remaining WC games.....I see Tye took a 6 for as well....last minute call up for the injured Worrall.....pity Matthew Kelly didnt get a call up before Tye.....

Freezin, perhaps Matty Wade's biggest obstacle towards Australian re-selection is Justin Langer himself.
This quote appeared on MSN in February: "You get the feeling the Australian coach would pick the Bayswater-Morley third-grade keeper over Wade."
Wade is no longer a full-time wicketkeeper, but Langer may see him as being too "abrasive" to be included in his revamped "nice guys" side.
A lot riding on tonight's England-Australia game at Lord's.
England has shown more brilliance than any other team during the tournament, but has also dropped games that it was expected to win.
I daresay say a loss to the Aussies will have Fleet Street pouring vitriol on the host team and its renowned ability to choke.
Australia, to use the old cliché, has been winning ugly and has yet to produce a 100-over (equivalent of four-quarter) performance.
