BH don't you refer T20 to being just hit n giggle mate?...but kudos to JL for having that on his CV..

I get your frustration with the current set up, and I agree change is needed to put some folk on notice.....but sadly a solo performance here and there, covers over the cracks of the others failures.

Surely Hughes at 35, is a backwards step in this Aust transition folk on here bang on about.....but agree Voges was an inspired selection at the time.

Good morning to all the sleepy heads in Perth,  it's just gone 1pm, and Aust it seems has scored another lucky win under the R&P regime. For all the uproar re Aust top 7 collapsing again.....it's interesting that NZ didn't get past 200 once on this pitch, and just shows either both top 7's are crap or it was a pitch that favoured the bowlers more then the batters....both with ball and bat.

Yes Aust top 7 are a mess, and their  🥓 was once again saved by one individual going over and beyond in their performance. Hopefully Green will gain confidence and some self belief from that 174 , as in the whole context of the game, it was the end difference between the two sides.

Well done Gary and his 10 for.....obviously lots of holes to fill in this Aust team, but for now,  the same 11 will come out at Hagley on Thursday to  frustrate the R&P haters once again.

Lyon cleaned up the Kiwis.Solid 172 run win.
Despite the fact that NZ have been a decent side most of this century.Only two test wins V Au in 30 years.

Yes you can argue about the lack of succession plan, the selections and the tactics but you cannot argue with the results over the past 12 months.
World Test Champions
Retained the Ashes
ODI World Cup
5-1 win loss record in tests so far this summer.
This is a team that knows how to win the big games and you have to give some credit to the management of the team headed by McDonald for proving all the doubters wrong. I have to admit that I wasn't a great fan of McDonald but happy to concede that the results speak for themselves. I think we should celebrate this team while it is still playing because it won't be long before many of them ride off into the sunset and a new era starts

Sadly Pucovski has been short balled again.....probably take him off your list BH... but probably add young Olly Davies to it....Green 4  Hardie 5 Davies 6 Inglis 7 might be a future Aust middle order.....with Goodwin or McSweeney at 3......

Was a sad sight seeing Will Pucovski go down again with another blow to the head.
I daresay that might be the last we see of him, I hope not as the kid is a talent (saw firsthand that 240 he made at the WACA as a teenager against a good WA attack) but his health must come first and I believe that was his 12th concussion in his career now.

The kid just doesn't have a clue how to play the short ball.....though Meredith is no slouch when it comes to bowling clicks. Agree BH, a fit and firing Pucovski is just what this current Aussie top 6 need.

Such a sad story, Pucovski has the talent to be a ten year player for Australia, but like Angus Brayshaw, health and life come first

Yet another average batting display by Australia, this time rolled for 240.
M.Marsh as I suspected just too leaden footed against proper Test seam bowlers whilst Carey should be dropped for good now, he is like Healy late in his career, just holding out a far better younger keeper/batsman in waiting!
