They are not my words freeze pretty sure Smith revealed himself some time ago he is often up in the wee small hours of the morning practising his shots in his hotel room.

DD, I wonder if Smith scores more runs than he does now, in those early morning hotel knockabouts? Yeah Smith is a bit OCD when it comes to his cricket.....his current run of form, must be doing his head in big time.

Smith is only a shadow of the player he was 3-4 years ago. Mind you this is comparing him now to the almost "Bradmanesque" aura he had in the 2019 ashes series. Sad to see him struggling and so obviously uncertain where his stumps are. He will certainly get multiple opportunities to prove his worth as an opener but you have to wonder what this run of poorish scores is doing to his head given his perfection complex.

Gee another failure by our batsmen knocked over for 280 against a very inexperienced attack, only saved by one of those 1 in 20 innings Head knocks where he rides his luck and it all comes off.
You got to wonder what our batting stocks will be in the not too distant future hence why getting Green back in to the batting line up is imperative, especially with home series coming against India & England in the next 2 summers!
Renshaw, Bancroft & Harris are not really Test standard, hopefully Pucovski can get his health and well being back soon.
I really cant think of too many other domestic middle order bats around the country who are at International standard at the moment????

Seen the Windies the last two summers.
Not sure will see them in our domestic calender for test,for a number of years.
Afghanistan might be a better Test summer than the West Indies.
Hopefully the joint West Indies /USA T20 WC in June.Can cash the WI board up.And they can afford to pay their best players in tests.

Well Renshaw might get his chance to frank the NSW selection committee's choice as next best with Khuwaja potentially suffering a broken or fractured jaw at best.

Being 27, I would of thought most folk worried about the lack of transition planning with the Aust test side.....would be pleased as punch with Renshaw coming in over a couple of 30 somethings in Bancroft and Harris.

Maybe Renshaw and Bancroft might get the nod in the future. Bit of a bus man's version of Hayden and Langer though...but definitely some underlying similarities...little n large in stature, one from Qld, the other from WA....sadly that's where it stops though. 

Sadly Richardson is currently out, hopefully back for the remaining shield season and pushing for a spot on the NZ tour....though it doesn't look too hopeful......Morris over Boland though....but that 6/7 @ the MCG will carry some weight for another 2 years at least I reckon.

Looks like Khwaja is going to be OK pending monitoring for delayed concussion. No fractures which is great. 
Probably an unchanged XI for the Brisbane test. West Indies need to look at their batting which was abysmal in Adelaide when you consider that their number 10 and 11 put on a quarter of their total runs in their 2 partnerships ( in fact the first innings partnership of 55 between Shemar Joseph and Kemar Roach was the highest of the whole match!)  Not going to get any easier with a day night test at the Gabba, could be another 2 day affair.

Mind you there is a cyclone hovering off the Queensland coast at the moment so they had better hope that that doesn't make its way towards Brisbane

Wicket with his first ball [Steve Smith].And a four ,4..Can handle the bat and bowl a fast bouncer.
From Guyana main land South America like Clive Lloyd.Lived in a remote jungle village.That didnt get the internet till 2018.And had never touched a cricket ball , till two years ago.

It certainly is a great background story on Shamar Joseph GTR, he looks a good talent too.
