Ok I will start this thread and admit that I have been enjoying watching the men in orange recover from being on the bottom of the ladder at christmas to the top of the pile at the business end of the season. The key to their improvement has been the batting which is now laden with power all the way down the order. Roy and Munro have been great pick ups and provide impetus from early in the innings which is continued by the likes of Marsh and Turner in the late overs. They have been consistently making scores of 170+ which then makes the bowlers job a lot easier.
Jhye Richardson has been the outstanding player in the tournament and he has been well supported by Berendorff, Tye, Hardie and Fawad Ahmed.
It will take a good team to prevent them from taking a 4th title and whilst I would take a Sheffield Shield ahead of a BBL title, its better than nothing I guess.

Its been a really good BBL X.The Scorchers last match v The Stars was a fantastic win.There's some talk that CA might play the final series at Optus in Perth.
Every team has a shot this year apart from Maxys Renegades. Who are playing young players. Did anyone see Maxys interview on Saturday afternoon. He turned away from the camera and caught the six over the boundary.

Maxy as in Glenn Maxwell, gtrxuone?
He plays for the Stars, not the Renegades.
Agreed, Mike, a Sheffield Shield would be preferable but a Big Bash trophy would certainly be handy after a couple of below-par seasons for the orange men.

Maxy actually refers to former Scorcher Michael Klinger who is now coach of the Renegades. He was doing a boundary side interview when a ball which was going for 6 came his way. He nonchalantly turned away from the interviewer and pouched the catch!
Close loss to the Heat today, the middle overs in their batting really cost them but Mitch very nearly got them home. They may have to go to Canberra for the first final now.

Of course, Mike, I'd forgotten that Maxy Klinger was coaching the Renegades.
I haven't watched much of BBL10.
My apologies for doubting you, gtrxuone.

Wow, a thread for the BBL. I thought about it, but figured I was the only one here that loved it so didn’t think it was worth it.
I was feeling pretty peeved after the first 3 games, but what a comeback. I’ve watched all the Scorcher’s games, but couldn’t watch today’s....damn!!!! Chris Lynn is always going to be a thorn in opposition sides and it appears he was the same today.
Bet there were a few of the old tarts that only watch “real cricket” tuned in over the year :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:
2x25= Seinor and Michael = 1xBrian Peake

Can anyone tell me why just about everyone in the test squad against India was released to play BBL if contracted except Cam Green? Starc isn't playing as he has a dodgy hammy and Lyon is being rested but the likes of Wade, Labuschagne, Paine, Neser, Head, Swepson, Abbott, Henriques are all in. Surely a 21 yo can handle 3 tests and then switch over to BBL.

Good point, I sure a 21yo could handle it, probably better than aging player.
