A 2 week break, home ground advantage and still yet to travel outside the state they still manage to put on a very poor showing. I thought the hawks looked good in the first half but the second half was a copy cat of last weeks. Well underdone, flat footed and definite fitness issues will need to be resolved before they take on the pies. If it wasn't for hawthorns superior ball movement and the eagles lack of it a better team would have run over them.

I think the eagles will be lucky to make the top eight and are in for a train wreck of a season. Terrible pressure, disposal and desire to run will see them fail all year. I believe the Melbourne game will be allot closer than expected.

But isnt this alignment crap they have imposed on our WAFL supposed to improve all of their young players out of sight???

I am an Eagles fan and I hope I am wrong but I don't rate them as highly as all the talk from the media, I will be pleasantly surprised if they finish top 6

On the Eags, does Coxy look a little tubby out there. Gaff will have to learn to live with a tag now, hurn down a bit on form as well. Both Nic Nat and Kerr are so so vital to tthe Eags. Embley a "sub"type player (said this for a while now). Rosa etc will help, BUT those typeofplayers are solid, morso than class/match winners. Perhaps the list doesnt run deep enough at this stahe, and also another GUN midfileder is needed.
