I wonder if Watts will stay or go now?
Or if Melbourne just tell him to piss off.

Should Watts stay or should he go now?
If he goes there will be trouble
An’ if he stays it will be double
So come on and let me know!

It is an attempt to follow Sydney's successful model. Roo's has a 2 year contract with an option of a 3rd. Melbourne will select a Senior Assistant Coach who will be groomed to take over from Roo's in 2016 or 2017. This is a succession plan similar to the one that Sydney did with Roo's and Longmire and will not have the same problems that the Malthouse/Buckley plan had. It is a stroke of genius by the CEO because Roo's will improve the culture of that footy club no end.

As for Jack Watts, I think you might find he will be a different player under a decent coach which to be fair he hasn't had as yet.

Have a gut feeling that Roos at Melbourne may turn in to another Blight at St Kilda. For somebody who had absolutely no ambition to coach 3 months ago he's talking like he's been born again but looking at his body language I have my doubts.

Jackson has put it to him as a short term contract. He certainly wouldnt take on a 5 year role, but he has almost been bought in as a consultant to prepare the next long term Melbourne coach. It was interesting that he was even talking about his exit at his press conference yesterday
