A/Man I can recall two clear examples of Freo players ducking from the weekend to earn free kicks.

I dont see it any different to what Selwoods or Shuey does.

you really have a facination with WCE anchorman ? by tthe way, good win by freo

on the ducking issue players have got to start focusing on the hips and get low on tackles. it has become a fine art but so many tacklers are just reckless. we have lindsay thomas who does it very well too and he draws kicks like that. but he doesnt duck the head therefore the free must be paid. afl football evolves all the time. this is another area being exploited and now its up to the tackler to get smarter. ducking the head should not be paid a high tackle. but dropping the knees just a couple of inches is a clever tactic. there is no actual "head duck" so the umps have got to pay the kick. some players do it very well im afraid>

They dont duck into the tackle fullstop! If they did it would be play on.
What they do is drop there knees forcing the tackler to go high which is a free kick....until they change this rule at least they will get a free kick every time.
As Jardine points out there are quite a few in the league that do this successfully.

Its funny how everyone can't see their own players doing it but always see the eagles doing it.

My hawks mates get really upset when I point out their superstar Hodge is a "ducker". Fuck do they get nasty but he does what the others do and gets frees for it.

build a fkn bridge. Learn to tackle properly as has been said.

A/Man.....S.Selwood averages 2.2 free kicks for a game. A.Selwood 1.7 a game and Shuey 1.5 a game. Not sure where your 5 each, each game came from.

But Viper definately agree with you. Every team has a few players that lead with their head in tackles. If they have the ball in their hands then they can lead with their head. Be first to the ball, or learn how to tackle properly.
