Alive with Clubs who wont be accepted in WAAFL.

The Metro Football League is the breeding ground for the WAAFL and is were most new clubs start before moving on to the WAAFL. Some clubs stay in the MFL because the like playing on Sundays. The MFL nurtures the new clubs and helps get them of the ground and helps them stabilise before they eventually move on to the Amateurs. In the last 10 /12 years the following clubs have started out in The MFL and then moved onto the WAAFL. Quinn's ,Ellenbrook ,Noranda , Jandakot , Cockburn , Osbourne Park , Secret Harbour and Kwinana. That is 8 new clubs nurtured by the MFL for the WAAFL. The MFL nurtures these clubs as it's fees are half that of the WAAFL and the MFL provides all panel umpires . In the last 30 years on only 2 new clubs , Canning Vale and Cottesloe , have started of in the WAAFL .
