At the half way point of the season
Subiaco and South Fremantle both require one more win to guarantee their appearances in the finals
The top four sides have slipped eight points clear, with the Tigers now 3rd and the Demons slipping to 4th,
ahead of the Cardinals who sit in 5th - one game clear of Mandurah
one win separates teams in sixth to tenth positions
Percentages are now becoming very relevant for the back half of the season

You would think by performances that the top 3 are now set, the battle for 4th and 5th is wide open with the remaining clubs fighting for these two spots, will be an interesting road to September.

I reckon with the results on the weekend it means 9 wins should be enough to get into the finals.

Apart from the HJ Allstars in 10th spot you'd think the rest of the bottom five are still alive but will need a good run to get to 9.

Big couple of rounds of fixtures ahead which could tell us whether P are ridgey didge, WP continue the upward trend and who might emerge from the bottom half to threaten

Dazzler for mine its finish top 4,no team thats finished 5th since the final 5 introduction has advanced past week 1.
Getting the Home final is crucial.

Perth have to beat Peel this week or they will slip further back into the chasing pack. Games away against EP and WP after that will be hard.
SF and Claremont have not played each other yet so 3rd spot might still be a possibility for Perth or even WP.

Totally agree. Despite the euphoria that would erupt at Lathlain just making the finals I'm not interested in just making up the numbers.

Agree with Cesspit too, this week's game gives P a fantastic chance to separate from the bottom half challengers.

Massive game for the Demons this week - win and it's either 3 or 4 games ahead of sixth place with 8 games remaining & that's a large piece of real estate.

need to win at least 2 of the next 3 against Peel, EP and WP. After that we've got SF (H), CL (A), Subi (H). Then the run home with the last 3 games against Eagles (H), EF (A) and Peel (A).
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

S, SF & C will be top 3 then its a big drop away to the rest.. 4th & 5th spots will be a raffle as all the other teams are ordinary..

Claremont will be the one who improve in the second half of the season, they have been going along ok at 6-3 but had the likes of J.Hardisty, Waterman, Palfrey, J.Murphy, R.Murphy etc all return through the Reserves on the weekend and still have Manuel & Curren to come back later in the season to really boost their depth.
