Wrensted 1985 GF 30plus disposals and 3 goals playing as a centre man and the umpires give it to one of the back pockets from the losing side.

every time South went the knucle, or should I say Malcolm Brown instructed them to go the biff, they lost. IN 1980, what a difference.

Keene dominatted that much in 1988 that he brought other players into the game, including Cocker and Jones; the other two ruckmen, in the side, they kicked three or four goals between them because the Tigers were trying to control Keene.

Looking at it from a different perspective.
The Team.

I've always thought that one of the most resilient teams of the modern era were denied a hat trick in 1978.
The Perth side a of 1970's were so resilient with their never say lost attitude.
Winning many games from a long way back.

But on Grand Final day 1978 they were up against 2 gods.
One pissing down with rain at the wrong time.
The other playing and coaching EP.

I think the last quarter exemplified their resilience despite the torrential rain to fight back like they did was outstanding.
They were a great side.

Where did it all get lost for the Demons DF?
Was it when Ken Armstrong stopped coaching or certain players leaving?

Peter Boustow should have won the simpson there is no about it.

They had lost quite a few players even before Ken Armstrong was sacked mainly to Victoria; generally, Armstrong, appraently tried to prevent such loses beecause it drainned the club of talent; Others, at the club, felt differently, it seems, and preferred to take the money in trasfer fees.

Peter's effort particularly in the last quarter was one the great individual efforts.
I think he kicked 7 that day.

It was a great GF but unfortunately we were on the wrong side of God.

The one great disappointment for me was 1970.

We were 100/1 on favourites.

And got done.

Shit poop etc etc etc ........

Life can really be a bitch .......
