Astro, I can only assume that you assume profits the same way that WP Board did.
Profit is Income - Expenses
Money in the bank or improved cash position, does not constitute profit, you have to take into account what you owe.
If the income received creates a liability that has to be repaid then it is not profit.
Carmen Lawrence tried that once by stating that loan moneys received was income because the state was reporting on a cash basis and not accrual. .

WEST Perth will part ways with its chief executive Linda Hamersley.

Club president Neale Fong announced Hamersley’s resignation at Tuesday night’s AGM.

She will stay in the role until May 24 and work alongside Falcons board director and interim CEO Jim Caffieri until a permanent replacement is appointed.

West Perth will cease operating after this season.

You may be right Durts, the whole outfit seems to have run out of steam. Junior clubs in the north should come together to create Northern Suburbs Knights or similar.

The baffling thing in all this is that Swans are still in a worse position financially than West Perth.
It is just no-one at WP had the balls to tough it out, do some deals, sort it out, they just held up the white flag.
Th new building could be a noose around their neck, but used properly could turn over good money for them.
There are deals to be done by opening up the new rooms for commercial activities while still being available for the 9 home games a year.
While that is not the panacea, it is a good start.
