would be one example of such a player.

That was obviously caused by how eagles players were allocated in that period, 2 others from around then are -

DD: Mick Ray played for Perth, EP and Subi in the 1970s and was a differnt fellow to stinger.

Here is a an 18 -- it is not bad -- a bit weak in defence I would have thought.

I met Mick Ray at a retrospective medal presentation for the 1978 East Perth premiership team a few years back and he's a good fella.
I think Ray, Archie Duda and Brent Levitzke all moved to Subi at the start of the 1980 season, with Duda and Levitzke then moving to Perth and East Fremantle, respectively, after very short stints at the Lions.
I may well be wrong, but I think the Royals swapped Alex Hamilton for the Lions' Ken Screech a season earlier, though Screech was back at Subi a year later and Hamilton returned to East Perth in 1982.

AD -- good one -- Mick was a little unfortunate because when he left Perth, Ken Armstrong was coach. Joinning Subi, He had Peter Burton as coach until he was sacked and replaced by Armstrong, as you know.

I'd forgotten about the Ken Armstrong-Mick Ray connection, Ark.
Reminds me of Ron Barassi coaching Brent Crosswell at Carlton, North Melbourne and Melbourne.
