nah mate...not true....although we did get Father Cleary who played cricket at CBC and was at Aquinas to draw the raffle winner at a gentlemen's evening at the club one night....good thing he didn't know what first prize was.

He played 18 games-5 goals from 1977-1980 for the Mighty Black & Whites.

Thinking a bit more about Jeff's time there BH, I reckon he played in 81 and maybe 82 before he left for opportunities in the SANFL. Bit sketchy with my fading memory. I only saw him play once in SA, he did pretty well early on

He went to Torrens - I reckon that was before they merged. He might have had a stint at Centrals too - but I lost touch around then

Jonny Claesson, Paul Bennett, Robbie Hooker and a fella from the NT in Ninny Briston were some of my favourite EF boys over the years......all were consistently in the best playing reserves footy just never seem to get the nod to play league.

He was still playing in the Sunday Football League well into his 40s from memory they used to call him Pops but he was still a good footballer, pretty sure he trains the odd racehorse these days.

BC forgot his name TBH....most awkward kicking style going from memory....even worse than Claessen....great honest footballer was Prowse BC.....and always in the reserves best....played off a half back flank..... disappointing he never got a league game.....

Rodney Willet -- very solid in the reserves before he finally crakced the league team in late 1984

Makes me think of other successful subi players that did well & maybe won ressies f&b. Maybe Brian Taylor, Phil lamb, Mick Lee, Ken Marshall, Michael mort? George Hampson?
