1) If West Coast take players from other WAFL Clubs, a Draft Fee (more than a Clearance Fee) is paid to the WAFL Club. And if West Coast insist on them playing League or Reserves at the expense of home grown East Perth players, payment is their responsibility, not East Perth.

2) No, Payne was playing Reserves because there were better East Perth players in those League positions not taken by a West Coast player.

Tom (the thug) Hodgson said at seasons end that he was going back to Ballajura, his brother is there and lots of mates. There is a bit of alignment blues but was not from my discussions the main reason. Steven Kingi was at best a fringe colts and ressies player, great young man and his verve and fun will be missed.
