Forget channel 7 coverage - all media focus would shift to the reserve teams. Which in turn leads to less interest from sponsors (and after we're facing money being taken away to fund the reserve comp).

OR here's another scenario - rather than the AFL clubs all being forced to fund a reserves team - could East Perth and Peel for example suddenly find themselves playing in a 2nd tier national comp with a mix of the existing reserve/alignment sides?

Yep agree with all that

There are a few possible scenarios and one would be as you say the two existing aligned clubs would fully transfer into the new 2nd tier rebranded as the two local franchise reserves, leaving what ever was left of the WAFL high dry and rooted.

I don't think it will happen.

Isn't this what everyone here, well almost everyone wanted, to piss the two AFL sides off from the WAFL.

Not everyone mate... As Ark says below it may not eventuate and it could be all smoke and mirrors from the AFL.

Unfortunately if it does happen the WAFL is dead as we know it.....
