I'll be very surprised if Souths don't account for Peel, like Subi they are full of class and have a great mix of quality talls and mids and a really potent forward line, plus a near full strength list to pick from. Assuming they get up it sets up a massive all WAFL 2nd semi at Leederville the following week. Souths have a great chance of going straight through given Subi's injury list and the possibility that a couple of key players in Horsely and Wheeler could be underdone, especially Wheeler who when fit is perhaps the best utility player in the league and a big finals experienced player. The loser will most likely meet Peel in the prelim and they will be stronger given Cox and Ryan will be available. Great to see that it looks like all finals including the elim are shaping as anyones game on the day.

Peelmantle to go through unscathed for back 2 back

Granted I think South will be competitive on Saturday, but don't seeing us causing an upset this week or if we meet them again later in September

It is just another joke and a farce from the WAFC that have absolutely no interest in the integrity or credibility of the WAFL and they expect 30,000 to attend the GF.

By the way does anyone know whether the finals will cost more or less than the qualifying games?

Preliminary Final $25, Grand Final $15. .......

Thanks Singha my understanding is that it actually will be $10 for WAFL club members for the Grand Final. When you say Preliminary final are you talking about all the finals leading up to the GF?

No worries swan. Im only going on an article I read somewhere. Yes, WAFL and eagles or dockers members are $10. Not sure of cost of entry this week but semi finals $20, preliminary $25, grand final $15. All games $5 cheaper for members. As I understand it

I found the pricing on the wafl page. This weekend also $20 and $15 for members. Kids under 15 free to all finals games

Thanks.

Just how IDIOTIC are the members of the WAFC? It is a rhetorical question as the answer is self-evident. So to go to an earlier finals is DOUBLE the price to attend the GF. Mind-numbing.

Just another reason to not attend the WAFL GF if your club does not have a team playing on the day.

The WAFC and anyone party to this should resign IMMEDIATELY.

Discard them at your peril.

Premiership favourites for mine

Absolutely LH , The defending Premiers are still the ones to beat.

Number of ex AFL guys listed in SF team to play Peel I reckon Grassy....should be an even match considering Peel have just as many AFL guys listed to play....mini AFL game one would think....should be a cracker

Freezin you are not comparing apples with apples. The players who are currently on AFL lists are full-time footballers compared to those not on an AFL list. They have all week to recover.

Being on an AFL list doesn't make you a footballers arsehole Swan. I take your point on recovery etc, but a top level WAFL footballer trains more than enough to be considered a serious athlete. The odds are out and South are favourites so if you like Peel empty your wallets.

LB I would only bet on one WAFL team (Swan Districts) EVER; otherwise, I would have backed Subiaco heavily to win the GF.
