Who was better!!! Hard to say. But I did like the way Walker played.And also Walker player in an era here in WA where the footballers were the equal of any players in Australia.
And I believe that Walker played for his team. I am not sure Gary doesn't play for Gary.

Can't compare different players from different eras.
Walker may have been shorter and lighter but ruckman in his day were 6'1" to 6'3" at max.
Now big body mids are 6'3" and ruckman are 6'6" upwards and they all run...except for Sandy.

Amazing to think that Gary jnr is 182cm and 87kgs, his old man was only 3cm taller and the same weight roughly although probably tipped 90kgs at the back end of his career. Just shows the modern player is so
much bigger in their respective positions but not necessarily better
