It is a VFL centric development strategy. Just have a look at the amount of Vic Country and Vic Metro kids.

that's a great result for Tim Kelly. I'm not fully across the rule for getting invited to the national combine but think it's when at least 4 AFL teams want to have a look at you....could be wrong with the number. a kid I coached for a few years got an invite last year and he's just played his second game for North Melbourne on the weekend. the national combine is not a guarantee of getting drafted but its a big step in the right direction...well done to all 10.

Players need to be nominated by a minimum of five AFL clubs.

The Vic Country and Vic Metro list of players invited to the Combine appears to be basically their National 18s squads WTF....?
