Make it free admission and restrict the grandstand to the members and fee paying away members.
Encourage people to join the club they support.
Of course, this may not be worth it if you have to pay someone to take the money, but can just shift them off the gate perhaps.

SF v Perth Proof once again that Sunday games are a total dud, WAFL needs to ditch them. Mind you cant blame Perth people for staying away decades of crap like that will do it.

SD vs WP was played on a Sunday a couple of weeks ago and was also live on Ch7 and got a crowd of 2400...hardly a dud!

Out of interest I have a media pass and I am never counted at Bassendean. Every other ground tallies me when I enter the grounds.

Be interesting to see how many turn up to the WP v Subiaco 'International round' this weekend, lots of free tickets given away, but the more people that the WAFL can get in through the gates the better.

If that's the case, why don't we just make every game free attendance?

Or at least free attendance if you want to sit in the outer and $15 for a seat in the grandstand.

Seeings that now the only time a decent crowd turns up apart from derbies is when free tickets are given away they might as well extend it.

SD vs EP drew 3600 on Saturday no Derby there...crowd was probably closer to 5000 if they counted everyone who is not a member with a pass or the free kids!

BH it was easy 5000.And remember a lot more come in after half time when the gates are open.Allways notice that at Basso and at Joondalup after half time.

Turner over.Subi where pulling the big crowds last year.But not in 2017,so far.Hopefully international day at West Perth pulls 8,000.

I was standing underneath the Mcdonalds stand and even tho they made a lot of noise i was surprised how empty the stand was.Seemed a lot at the can bar maybe a Alcoholics Anonymous meeting being held.

As has been raised previously the only time crowds go up is when freebie promotions are involved , might as well extend it as it looks like the only time people go in numbers. Most of them there just because kids footy team had to be there, big portion bugger off at half time and arent seen again ever.

It must be a difficult concept to grasp for some; Swans don't count non-paying patrons!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
