Was surprised on Friday night there was no East Perth chant. East Perth usually have very vocal supporters second only to WP and yet no chant when they stormed to a 3 goal lead or even when they surged late in the game.

Speaking to a EP friend who says that the Eagles hierachy has banned the chant so as not to confuse the players when they take over the club in 2014.

Surely this cannot be true??

Cant wait for next years chant of- S.G.I.O go eagles go ..at their WAFL games!!

The members stand was nearly full but in the outer and the Tech end there was bugger all compared to normal - I was very dissapointed. They usually show up in big numbers for these sort of games ???

But I must say those supporters at the game were vocal and passionate which is great.

There was no EP song after the reserves game or when they ran onto the ground come to think of it. This could be a sign of things to come.

I couldn't possibly support any team with a nickname of Royals. However, for those who have supported the late (and in some cases lamented) East Perth footy club it is a sad day.

Also, I wonder how Naitanui is feeling and Swans' supporters more generally when he is required to play for the club formerly known as East Perth against Swans.

Not just Nic Nat swannie...from an EFFC point of view, people like young Brennan have a family history at our club. How are they going to feel?

It is an absolute disgrace and those who are party to it should hang their heads in shame.

I would like to think that some of the AFL players will refuse to play for the johnny come lately AFL reserves' teams. Alas, I think it will be a forlorn hope.

for once you and I are in total agreement 42...how in the hell am I going to barack against the likes of Nicoski, Priddis, Sinclair and co from next year onwards if they happen to drop back to the WAFL for any reason...it's blo*dy absurd.
