I'll have a crack at SD this week...happy to take some input from fellow SD supporters before finalising La Hincha so please give time for some debate

Unlucky not to be in or strongly considered were Corey Gault but despite good numbers thought he was nudged by his opponent on the day...Ellard and Riggs tried hard but numbers stacked up against them. Ugle had a ripper battle with his opponent all day also...can't put em all in and let's be honest for 3qtrs of footy yesterday we weren't on song!

Unfortunately we only had a handful who were 4 qtr contributers yesterday.

Yep it's an interesting one La Hincha, for instance yesterday Black had 47 touches for WP but I reckon I heard 10 instances yesterday where he was being berated by team mates for not giving the ball to them in better positions....stats don't always tell the full story.... Interested to see if he gets their 8 votes from supporters vote....same with Jones at Perth 53 possies but did he get them going sideways all day....some huge numbers put up by a few yesterday....future of the game I guess as we align ourselves with AFL methods without the same skill efficiencies amongst the group

Can I ask why any AFL listed player rates votes in this WAFL accounting?

With all the chat re alignment etc and its disruptive affect on the competition this seems to me to be redundant
I look at them no differently than a suspended player in the Brownlow Medal and also the same way in that any suspended players voting tally should not be tallied or comparable to the eligible players
I hate how at the end of the brownlow; if a close margin. we inevitably have to hear 'oh but what if he hadn't been suspended?' OR 'oh what a shame he was suspended' I don't care - he was suspended and that was it sadly - right or wrong that player is out and I see the same for AFL players gaining votes in a WAFL count.

why are we allowing the same AFL style comparison embarrassment - just wrapped up in a different package?
And worse - a professional AFL player doing doing else but footy footy footy against a wonderful WAFL player who works/studies and juggles training and games on top?

Agree.... only WAFL players eligible full stop..

In fact, I spoke to a father of one of these AFL listed players a few weeks ago. All their lives they've barracked for a WAFL club and now their son plays for an alligned club.

It's not their choice...they wish the system was different and they will always barrack for their life-long WAFL club but that's the hand they've been dealt.

No argument with your reasonings LAH...My opinion is they are AFL listed players and are AFL full time footballers V semi professional WAFL footballers thus should not be eligble because of that fact..
