I know I will make myself unpopular but there are some here that are turning this Ozfooty site into a joke.

We are getting 10% actual footy news/info and the rest is just juvenile sniping and one-upmanship.

Having thousands of posts doesn't make you a better fan or more knowledgeable than others. If you took out all the inane comments some would have very few real footy news/comments at all.

Nowadays it doesn't matter what subject someone writes about there will be a peabrain who will try to take the subject off track with a dig at a club that already has been done to death a thousand times.

Don't come back at me and say it's all good banter because you can see that many of you take it very personally.

To all that talk real footy, keep up the good work.

Now I will sit back and prove my point.

As for juvenile sniping, thats the stuff you see on facebook. Everything on here is pretty tame in comparison.

so what if people engage in a bit of banter or sniping as you put it? it's all pretty good natured and at least we're all still posting. once the season starts you'll get more footy related stuff but at day's end...if you don't like it RUS, don't read it.

RUS what exactly are you referring to because your profile shows your last post prior to this one was 2 weeks and 4 days ago.

There is a lot of interesting discussion on here but it is buried under a heap of rubbish under the name "banter". Wouldn't mind if it was funny but as you said it is just the same old stuff recycled again and again. Thank you for sticking your neck out and saying this.

I'm not sure what exactly you're referring to mike. sure a few of us stir up your colleagues from Bassendean but it's all pretty low key and reciprocated from both sides. there's been a fair bit around the election and politics in general but they're topical issues at the moment. so in terms of rubbish I don't think it's a big issue and the use of mods for each site is generally working...just my thoughts and could be wrong.

From what I can see, a lot of wafl threads get side tracked onto the same ol same ol ad nausem moans about subi and the dough from its seat allocation, from then on its a slanging match of the same boring crap, so theres probably a point in this topic.

Interestingly I started a topic to actually get some old style footy chat on here last night with the smell of liniment in the air and so far only GTR, AR, Grassy & Southy have bothered to respond...very sadly it seems more people are interested in posting political crap on a footy site!
