Exquisite, ironic and downright hilarious. You forgot about the points cap.

We hardly have any high point players left on our list and I presume most clubs have at least 10 or more players that are 5 pointers or more so I would say it ain't gonna be a issue.

Yes, because you have 30 or 40 AFL players who are all zero points. At any one time you have at least 15 playing in your league side.
Talk about Exquisite, Ironic, Hilarious...it is downright obscene.

For the record my comments were directed at BC's comments not C22's comments.

Money won't buy club culture and East Perths was given the Royal flush a long time ago, they are now just contradictory frauds
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!

East Perth's tradition and history will still be there long after the alignment. But like all WAFL clubs current success is rather meaningless historically speaking. And for the record can we drop the charade that salary caps are much more than a starting point.

I found watching that huge crowd roll up at Freo oval for the woman's match heartbreaking. I realised the WAFL has almost zero appeal in the community anymore.

LB...imo the only reason people are flocking to the women's version is a) novelty value as it's new and a bit of a laugh b) it's free and c) it's not competing against regular AFL games which the WAFL has to. if they were played during the AFL season and people had to pay you'd get a handful at most.

Yeh good mate, as far as WP goes I don't like what they did to Raponi, I don't think the coach will get the backing that Raponi gave him from this new board, and if you don't have the backing as he should, every little thing that goes wrong on the field will be met with harsh criticism from the idiots within.

Our recruiting has been a bit sketchy but I think Bill will get it all to work again, i think we will finish in the top 5 but lower than last season.

Agree BC....Having the AFL marketing machine 100 percent behind it and the free enty helps...

BC: I would add a (d) because their sheep; as I always remind people, WA is full of 'I used to people'; that is 'I used to support South' but channel 7 told me not to so I support the AFL. Honestlly, the minds of such people can be shapped to support anything, which is very dangerous on the political plane; bloody Goebbles would have had a field with the 'I used to' people' in this state.

This.

If we had only a percentage of what the AFL has put into this fake competition. Half the girls have converted from other sports further undermining the so-called need for this crap.

It has been mentioned elsewhere how much money they pour into NSW and QLD. The TV ratings in these states don't justify the expense - although I know the AFL has a vested interest in keeping the regions strong for everyone - but who is paying for it - WA football and the WAFL of course.
