Yes there certainly hasn't been a win since Channel 7 took over the TV coverage although to be fair Swans made it tough for them to pick a winning saturday this year

If he still harbours those views from early 2014, one can safely bet his bottom dollar that he will not be allowed anywhere near a bloody microphone! He will be told what to say and when because big business doesn't want the apple cart de-railed at all. Find it very strange how the 'media' refuse to run his article. Instead it quickly and quietly was put on the furthest away back-burner!
Obviously wanting Mr and Mrs average to forget about said article.

Channel Stokes has a monopoly on AFL and has The Worst and CH7 emblazoned all over the East Perth jumpers. No different to Putin or that North Korean freak controlling the media.

It's called not wanting CH9 to get their hands on it.

If ratings keep going the way they are they will have to...

I heard DC interviewed on 720 , saying his ideal Saturday in his retirement will be taking a chair down to the bank of a wafl ground and watching WP do battle each weekend...

I don't wish to stray off topic. It was disappointing when abc tv in their very poor judgement decided to can the women's basketball telecasts several years ago. Would be fantastic if abc tv reversed that decision most quickly and the Womens National Basketball League returned to the tv screen.

They still do Netball don't they?

Tbh, ABC lost interest in sport altogether years ago. Mind you they spent a fair bit for the rights for the Rio World Cup didn't they?

Not too sure of the netball Bazza?
All I know is when tuning into abc tv over a Saturday or Sunday afternoons, all one views are repeats of repeated programmes that have been repeated previously from repeated programmes that have been shown before! I realise the federal government are very slack and un-helpful by slashing the abc's budget. But the abc could at least make a bit of an effort.
From memory, the Rio World Cup tv rights did cost a pretty penny.

Yeah, they only cover womens netball and womens soccer now, spent a mint on Rio and tbh their coverage was pretty crap, SBS did a far better job. The management are more interested in promoting gay marriage than covering sport, they are not short of a quid, they dropped Lawn Bowls, etc and then ran a 24 hr News Channel etc...fact is priorities are elsewhere.

And now they have lost Netball to Ch 9 , so that just leaves womens soccer and 1 womens golf tournament.
